DESCRIPTION:Bring your lake debris to Morganton Point between April 26 and  May 9 \nQuestions? Contact Mike Darnell at mdpt@tds.net\n \n \nOn Saturday\, May 10\, all participants are asked to gather at the Morganton Point boat ramp at 9:00 am for a quick meeting and lake area assignments.\nWe will have industrial dumpsters available as well as a front end loader to lift and load all accumulated trash into the dumpsters. \nNOTE: Our lake cleanup is designed for lake debris\, NOT household or personal debris or trash. No dock remnants will be accepted.\nThe dates for this year are:\nFrom April 26 and May 9\, participants are encouraged to work independently whenever they wish.\nAll trash should be taken to the Morganton Point boat ramp as we have done in the past. A corral will be constructed adjacent to the ramp and all floating trash should be deposited inside the corral to insure it does not float away. Bags of trash may be placed on the shoreline to insure they do not float away.

DESCRIPTION:Light Up Blue Ridge is always the \nSaturday after Thanksgiving! \nBlue Friday is November 29\, 2024 \nLight Up Blue Ridge and the Annual Blue Ridge Christmas Parade is November 30\, 2024 \nBlue Friday day will include downtown merchants’ store discounts\, Christmas holiday cheer\, food vendors\, and strolling entertainment. \nBlue Friday Schedule of Events at the Main Stage\nTo Be Announced…. \nLight Up Blue Ridge day will be full of Christmas cheer\, strolling Christmas entertainment\, food vendors\, and children will be able to visit Santa Claus in the gazebo located in the park. \n\nStrolling Christmas entertainment on E. Main St. from noon to 5 pm\nEntertainment on the main stage on Depot St. from noon to 5 pm\nTuba Christmas on Depot St. from noon to 1 pm\nPictures with Santa will take place in the gazebo from noon until 4:15 pm. Santa will continue visiting with children who were in line before 4:15 until 4:30 pm. Santa MUST leave by 4:30 so he has time to get to the parade.\nParade starts at 5:30 pm and runs down E. Main from Church to Mountain St.\, then down Mountain St. and back up on W.
