SUMMARY:Fall Lake Cleanup
DESCRIPTION:Fall Lake Cleanup!\nWe created a “corral” made from boat fenders near Morganton Point so that you can gather and drop off loose floating debris on the lake.  \nNOTE: Our lake cleanup is designed for lake debris\, NOT household or personal debris or trash. No dock remnants will be accepted. \nThe dates for this year are:\nAugust 25 – September 7\nFrom August 25 to September 7\, participants are encouraged to work independently whenever they wish. All trash should be taken to the Morganton Point boat ramp as we have done in the past. A corral will be constructed adjacent to the ramp and all floating trash should be deposited inside the corral to insure it does not float away. Bags of trash may be placed on the shoreline to insure they do not float away. \n\nOn Saturday\, September 7 at 9:00 am at the Morganton Point boat ramp we need volunteers to help move accumulated debris from the corral to the front loader and dumpsters\, and boats to roam the lake to pick up larger debris. We will have a quick meeting and lake area assignments. \nWe will have industrial dumpsters available as well as a front end loader to lift and load all accumulated trash into the dumpsters. \nQuestions? Contact Mike Darnell at mdpt@tds.net \n
