SUMMARY:A Colonial Christmas at INOLA
DESCRIPTION:During Christmas garlands of ivy\, laurel and mistletoe grace the elegant colonial buildings of Inola. In the evening candles burn casting a glow on smiling faces. Decorations are simple and refined\, yet elegant befitting a colonial Christmas. \nFestivities will include strolling carolers\, concerts of traditional and contemporary holiday music\, carriage rides\, and the Arrival of the Yule Log.  For the children Santa will listen intently to their wishes\, cookies and hot chocolate will be devoured\, apples bobbed for\, and holiday crafts created.  In honor of the Thomas Jones\, who built the village\, we will serve his signature ambrosia\, a treat he made for his guests at Christmas.  This is a family event\, one that involves local area musicians and organizations. Talented instrumentalists and coral groups will present concerts in the Hopewell Chapel and other locations. \n  \nMore details to come\, regarding hours and other festivities. DESCRIPTION:Light Up Blue Ridge is always the\nSaturday after Thanksgiving \nBlue Friday is November 29\, 2019\nLight Up is November 30\, 2019 \nThe GREAT TREE is back! It is 27 foot tall\, a sight that will WOW children and adults alike. Friday is BLUE Friday\, when all merchants will be offering discounts and the downtown area will be filled with live entertainment throughout the day. A full day of fun begins on Saturday when Santa arrives on the train approximately 11:00  a.m. Santa will be in the park from 12:30 to 4:40 p.m. for visits with the kids.   Parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. with lighting of the Great Tree at 7 p.m.\nThe day of Blue Friday and Light Up Blue Ridge will be full of strolling Christmas characters\, food vendors and entertainment in the park.\nFriday evening\, November 29th (Blue Friday) you are encouraged to join us for town wide caroling starting at 6 p.m.\nSaturday\, November 30th and every Saturday in December through December 15th you will find strolling Christmas characters and entertainment around town and in the park.\nSaturday\, November 30th parade will start at 5:30 p.m.  Everyone is welcome to be part of the parade and we are hoping you will add lights to your float.\nGreat Tree lighting will be at 7 p.m. \nThis year we are honored to have the 2016 Miss America winner\, Betty Cantrell to sing “O Holy Night” at the lighting of the tree.  Great time for the whole family. \nFor more info\, CLICK HERE
