Suzanne Ponton, Vice President
Suzanne is originally from Ohio, but first came to Blue Ridge over the New Year’s weekend of 2006 and promptly fell in love with the North Georgia Mountains. She has been a permanent resident of Blue Ridge since 2011. Suzanne is the former owner/manager of North Georgia Storage and is currently active in community volunteering. She has had a love for animals all her life and shares her home with her dog, Hobson. In addition to the LBRCA, she also serves on the board of the Humane Society of Blue Ridge and is a Fannin Chamber Ambassador. Suzanne enjoys the camaraderie of the members of the LBRCA and supports the positive efforts of this organization to protect and preserve the beauty of Lake Blue Ridge.
Teresa Joel, Secretary
Teresa and her husband moved to Atlanta in 1987 where she built her career in technology throughout the 1990s. In 1999, they purchased a second home on Lake Blue Ridge in Necowa Cove and their family has enjoyed escaping to the lake in the spring and summer months. With the successful growth of Blue Ridge throughout the past decade, Teresa feels it’s more important than ever to commit to preserving the environmental goals of LBRCA.
Amy Arant
My family and I have been enjoying Lake Blue Ridge since 2005. In 2014 I moved to Blue Ridge full-time and I own two businesses, Wrapsody in Blue and Wrapsody Outdoor Living. Because I am now a permanent resident of the area I would like to do what I can to preserve the beauty of this beautiful lake.
Mike Darnell
Mike and Helen Darnell are full-time lake residents since 1998. Mike is now retired from self-employment as a physical therapist and Helen was in corporate accounting with Scientific Atlanta. They enjoy two grown children and have four grandchildren. Mike is the author of the Friday Night Tie-Up missive each week from Memorial Day through Labor Day weekends.
Ed Stinson
Ed and his wife, Connie, have owned a home in the Blue Ridge area since 2013 and have lived here full time since 2020. Ed is the founder/owner of a global employee relocation management company headquartered in Roswell GA. They have 3 children and 6 grandchildren all living within 90 minutes of Blue Ridge. Ed looks forward to working with others to ensure the safety and beauty of Lake Blue Ridge for all who love and enjoy it.
