This year’s families traveled from Michigan, Virginia, Ohio, Minnesota, Texas, Arkansas, Florida and South Carolina to enjoy this week-long retreat in Blue Ridge. LBRCA had many volunteers from our community to make this day possible for the participants. Everyone was honored to participate and host these families, and will look forward to hosting a day of fun next year!
LBRCA members greeted the 12 families at the Lake Blue Ridge Marina for a day of cruising, tubing, swimming, lunch and just plain making new friends and enjoying our beautiful lake.
Little Pink Houses of Hope organization was started BY a breast cancer survivor FOR breast cancer patients, survivors and their families. Little Pink organizes retreats for families to offer a much-needed respite from busy medical schedules and health worries and provides a supportive and hopeful environment with time for families to spend together. The Lake Blue Ridge Civic Association is partners with Little Pink for their family retreat here in Blue Ridge by hosting an afternoon on the lake with boating, tubing, lunch, and general fun and relaxation.
