Lake Blue Ridge Civic Association Scholarship and Career, Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE) Fund
The Lake Blue Ridge Civic Association Scholarship Fund provides financial assistance to Fannin County High School Seniors to further their education at accredited colleges and universities. The Fund was established in 2017 and is administered by the Community Foundation of North Georgia and LBRCA.
LBRCA also offers financial assistance in Career, Technical and Agricultural Education (CTAE) Programs. These Programs are designed to provide students with the knowledge and skills necessary for readiness in trade careers. The fund was established in 2020 and is administered by LBRCA and the Fannin County High School Administration. Included in these scholarships for the past several years has been a $5000 award to assist students who are pursuing a career in the area of welding. This donation has been made by LBRCA member, Perry Novak, of Blue Water Energy. Fannin County HS welding teacher, Terry Flowers, works with the scholarship committee to make yearly recommendations on students to receive this award.
Chief sources of revenue for the funds are membership dues, individual donations by members, fundraisers held throughout the year and our generous corporate sponsors.
