A Colonial Christmas at INOLA
November 29, 2019
During Christmas garlands of ivy, laurel and mistletoe grace the elegant colonial buildings of Inola. In the evening candles burn casting a glow on smiling faces. Decorations are simple and refined, yet elegant befitting a colonial Christmas.
Festivities will include strolling carolers, concerts of traditional and contemporary holiday music, carriage rides, and the Arrival of the Yule Log. For the children Santa will listen intently to their wishes, cookies and hot chocolate will be devoured, apples bobbed for, and holiday crafts created. In honor of the Thomas Jones, who built the village, we will serve his signature ambrosia, a treat he made for his guests at Christmas. This is a family event, one that involves local area musicians and organizations. Talented instrumentalists and coral groups will present concerts in the Hopewell Chapel and other locations.
