Five Southern women, whose friendships began many years ago on their college swim team, meet for a long weekend every August…for over 30 years. Free from husbands, kids, and jobs, they sojourn to North Carolina’s Outer Banks to catch up, laugh, and meddle in each other’s lives. One struggles with “perfection”. One aspires to a personal life as ordered as her courtroom. One is determined to hold on to her youth and has the marriages to prove it. And one arrives with some startling news! And as they work through the challenges of men, sex, marriage, parenting, divorce, and aging, they rally ‘round their own with the strength and love that makes this a comedy about friendships that last forever.
