What are we all about?
- Fireworks: Since 2018, LBRCA has produced “Fire in the Sky”.
This 30-minute fireworks show on the lake is funded by the LBRCA,
corporate sponsors, local businesses, and most importantly,
individuals like you. Our show has been ranked
“3 of the Best Places to See Fireworks” in the South by AAA Living magazine. Popular Mechanics magazine named us
“20 Best Places to Watch Fourth of July Fireworks”.
Explore Georgia ranked our show “Best 4th of July Celebrations”.
If you and your family enjoy the annual Fireworks, please consider
joining LBRCA to support this event. (Or simply donate to our Fireworks Fund!) - Scholarships: LBRCA coordinates and awards annual
scholarships to deserving Fannin County students who will
attend college or technical and vocational schools. Help us
to help educate our community youth in valuable
trades that help them to help us! - Stewardship:
Lake Cleanups: Member volunteers gather twice a year
to clean up debris from the lake and public areas surrounding
the lake. LBRCA has adopted a mile of Dry Branch Road
near Green Creek to keep it clean of roadside litter.
Boating Safety Classes: We conduct Boating Safety classes
in conjunction with the Dept. of Natural Resources.
Little Pink Houses of Hope: We host activities for Little Pink Houses, an organization that provides retreats to families
with members undergoing cancer treatment.
- Social & Community Events:
We get together monthly and enjoy activities such as
trivia/game nights, bonfires, and holiday parties. We also
hold fundraising events with special themes like
the Kentucky Derby. Other events may include live music
and theater, Blues & BBQ train, as well as informally
gathering at lake tie-ups during the summer. LBRCA is a
great way to meet and keep great friends!
Note: LBRCA is a 501(c)3 nonprofit and your membership and donations are tax deductible.
